Founded by Nichole and Dalton Thacker, Holiday Cafe is a unique family-focused establishment in downtown Puyallup. It combines a cafe, play space, and custom cookie artistry born from her passion for baking and community-building.
Our Story
Holiday Cafe began in 2020 with Nichole Thacker baking custom cookies from her home. As the business grew, so did the dream of creating something bigger—a coffee shop where people could gather, connect, and feel at home. The name “Holiday Cafe” was inspired by the desire to see and celebrate the light in a world that can often feel dark. Just as Nichole grew up celebrating victories in sports, both big and small, Holiday Cafe was created to celebrate the everyday victories and little moments that make life meaningful.
At the heart of Holiday Cafe is a belief that no one was created to do life alone. That belief was shaped by biblical teaching and deeply experienced through Nichole’s own journey with infertility, when family and friends surrounded her with love, encouragement, and support. Through that experience, she saw the power of having a village—people who show up, carry one another through difficult seasons, and celebrate together in the good ones.
Today, Holiday Cafe strives to be more than a place to grab coffee and baked goods. It is a place where families can find their village, friends can make memories, and people can experience the love and hospitality of Christ in everyday moments. Our mission is simple: to be the church through coffee and baked goods—creating a welcoming community where people feel seen, connected, encouraged, and reminded that they never have to do life alone.

Our custom cookie service caters to various occasions, with options for edible printed cookies, basic and detailed custom decorated sets. We can accommodate different dietary needs and preferences.
Our Commitment to Quality
We partner with Mukilteo Coffee Roasters for ethically sourced coffee. Our baked goods, including custom desserts, are made with attention to detail. We offer gluten-free and vegan options in-house as well as partner with Lillian's Loafcakes, LLC for her delicious loafcakes.
